As a professor of music history, I have written numerous books and articles. My first book, Eight Centuries of Troubadours, was published in 2004 with Cambridge University Press. Since then, I have been published by other academic presses like Routledge and Brepols . I have even self-published with Amazon, a memoir entitled Missionary Kid: How I Learned to Say Goodbye (2017). My first legitimate attempt at a trade book will be published by Oxford University Press in 2021, a textbook entitled Film Music: An Introduction in 11 Takes. Most recently, I have enjoyed turning to my first love, children’s stories. I am currently finishing Deotila and the Moon Lizard, the first novel of a middle-grade trilogy.
